Jasmine Baker

My dad has been coaching football at the NFL and college level for over 35 years. I was born and raised with football being the center of my life so I have gotten to learn a lot within the sport. Growing up, I played multiple sports including lacrosse, gymnastics, basketball, soccer, and dance. In high school, I lettered in varsity volleyball, track and field, and cheer. Along with being team captain my senior year, I was class president all four years and was the chair of the leadership committee. I was also named the Distinguished Young Woman of Starkville 2020 and Starkville High School’s Miss Yellow Jacket.

I am a graduate of Starkville High School in Starkville, Mississippi where I was the editor of the Broadcast Journalism program. I am a Junior at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where I am a student of the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. I am majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in Sports and double minoring in Coaching Education and History. I am a student office assistant in the UNC football office working in recruiting, which I previously did for the University of Alabama and Mississippi State University. I work as a Tour Guide for the University of North Carolina Admissions and I am an ambassador for the school. I serve as the Mental Health and Philanthropy Chair for the Delta Delta Delta Sorority at UNC.
